Terms of Use
Licence
Fateline is licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, under the terms of Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA), which applies to this app in full. The terms on this page describe how Fateline's purchases work; where anything here conflicts with Apple's Standard EULA, the Standard EULA governs.
What is always free
Every core action in Fateline is free and unlimited, forever: living a full life, ageing up, taking a job, earning money, buying things, relationships, crime, and closing threads. All eight career tracks and all ten starting archetypes are core content. They are not sold, they are not bundled into any purchase, and no purchase is required to reach any of them.
What you can buy
Purchases add scenario packs — additional situations to play through. A scenario pack contains events only. It does not add a career, an archetype, or a game mechanic, and it never gates one.
| Purchase | Type | Price (US) | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unlimited: All Scenario Packs | One-time | $19.99 | Unlocks every scenario pack that exists now and every one released later. Never renews, never expires. |
| Crime Life Scenario Pack | One-time | $6.99 | Adds the criminal arc's scenarios. |
| Rags to Riches Pack | One-time | $4.99 | Adds the rags-to-riches scenarios. |
| Rewind One Year | Consumable | $0.99 | One rewind of the last year. |
| Rewind Pack ×10 | Consumable | $2.99 | Ten rewinds. |
| Fateline Pass Weekly | Subscription | $4.99 / week | Access to every scenario pack while active. |
Prices shown are United States prices. Your local price is set by Apple for your storefront and is always displayed before you pay.
Fateline Pass — auto-renewing subscription
- Title: Fateline Pass Weekly.
- Length: one week, renewing automatically.
- Price: $4.99 per week (US), shown in your local currency before purchase.
- What it unlocks: every scenario pack while the pass is active, including packs released during the subscription.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings after purchase. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period runs to its end.
- Anything you bought outright stays yours if the pass lapses. A lapsed pass never revokes a one-time purchase.
No randomised purchases
Fateline contains no loot boxes, no mystery crates, no spins and no gambling mechanics of any kind. Everything you buy is exactly what is described before you pay.
No advertising
Fateline contains no advertising and no ad SDK.
Restoring purchases
One-time purchases and an active subscription can be restored on any device signed in to the same Apple Account, using Restore Purchases on the purchase screen. Consumable rewinds are used up when spent and are not restorable.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your saved lives
Saves are stored on your device, versioned, and migrated on update rather than replaced. The game keeps automatic backups of your last three completed lives and lets you export your own copy at any time. See the Privacy Policy for what is and is not collected.
Acceptable use
Do not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its content except as permitted by the Standard EULA or by law. Fateline is fiction: its careers, crimes and outcomes are a game, not advice.
Disclaimer and liability
Fateline is provided "as is", without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded under applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app and its in-app purchases. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.
Changes
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
